What is a Health Coach

A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness professional who helps people feel their best through individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet their unique needs and health goals.

Health coaching isn’t about one diet or one way of living. Instead, I focus on bio-individuality – the idea that we’re all different and have unique dietary, lifestyle, emotional, and physical needs. This means that I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness. Instead, I work with clients to help them discover how to fuel their bodies and become the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves.

Every session and all recommendations are highly personalized to the unique needs and challenges of each client, which means that I have a client-centered approach to the work I do with each individual I serve. I educate, inspire and empower clients to take charge of their own wellness and making decisions based on their body and lifestyle.

I emphasize health beyond the plate as I approach wellness through primary food. I believe there are areas of your life that impact your health just as much as the food you eat – your relationships, career, spirituality, and physical activity.

I take health coaching a step further by applying the principles of Functional Medicine to my practice to give me and my client deeper insight into what could be driving their symptoms. My ongoing training as a Functional Medicine Health Coach gives me the tools and know-how to dive deep beneath the surface to figure out what is the root cause of a client’s symptoms and over a period of time, guide them through the changes they can make that will help them return to a state of wellness.

As an M.D., Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and future Functional Medicine Practitioner, I understand health and wellness at a biochemical, spiritual and nutritional level and I can offer you my knowledge, experience, and support to help you thrive in your life again by finding your true unique balance.

This is for you if you are feeling ready for a positive change. Change can be difficult and I believe each one of us has its own tipping point which we need to reach in order to feel motivated enough to make a change. This is for you if you’ve been feeling lost and confused, if you are struggling with losing weight, hormonal imbalances, acid reflux, acne, low energy levels, stress management and don’t know where to start from or what foods to choose to help you first create the pillars of your health journey.

This is NOT for you if you are looking for a quick fix, a list of foods to follow. Slow changes are real changes. And a Health Coaching program doesn’t work that way. When you make the choice to move forward with a coaching package, you and I are officially a team. I will hold you accountable and offer you weekly suggestions that can help you along your unique path toward growth. But I’m simply the guide on the side. Ultimately, this will be your journey. The success you create will be yours alone.
